Burberry revealed its latest Menswear collection, named “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue,” at its custom-built venue in London’s Kensington Gardens on 11 January 2016. The collection was a showcase of the unification of the brand’s different ready to wear labels and styles.

British singer-songwriter and 2015 Mercury Prize winner Benjamin Clementine accompanied by a specially created band including a cellist and The Libertines drummer Gary Powell performed at the event, entertaining guests with his hits such as “Condolence”, “Nemesis” and “Adios” from his debut Mercury Prize winning album “At Least For Now”.

The show and performance were streamed live on the newly launched Burberry app for Apple TV, marking a first for a fashion brand on the platform. The Burberry app for Apple TV is the latest in a series of digital innovations that have been created between Burberry and Apple, and will be updated with additional live moments and exclusive content throughout the year. The Burberry app for Apple TV will also offer access to a collection of Burberry Acoustic films from emerging British musicians, highlights from the brand’s previous runway shows and Burberry beauty tutorials by Burberry Make-up Artistic Consultant, Wendy Rowe.

Apart from Apple TV, viewers globally were able to experience the show across multiple Burberry platforms including Burberry.com, YouTube, Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google+, LINE, Sina Weibo, Pinterest, Apple Music, YouKu, Kakao and WeChat.

Models walking the show included the brand’s current campaign stars Sol Goss, Louie Johnson, Ruth and May Bell, Eliza Fairbanks, Hayett McCarthy as well as Chinese singer and actor Kris Wu, making his runway debut. Giving unprecedented access to his first experience at a Burberry show, Kris Wu took over the Burberry Sina Weibo account, sharing exclusive content from his runway debut. Following the show, WeChat users will be able to unlock exclusive audio content from Kris.

The Menswear collection celebrates outerwear shapes redefined for relaxed weekends, including trench coats, topcoats, duffle coats, military pea coats and parkas, and introduces a new bag shape The Satchel alongside new shoe designs The Driver and The Derby. The show also included looks from the latest women’s Pre-Collection, which debuted in November 2015.
